This week we'll take our 4th six weeks math test on Wednesday. Students were given a test review on Friday. I am attaching it below.
Here is the review that was given to students today. I will attach the second page to it tomorrow because I do not have a scanned copy. However, the first part is attached below. Our test is this Thursday, Feb. 1. A copy of this review is being given to students today to prepare for next week's final exams. I have also attached the final exam schedule. Test 2 review is below. The test will be this Thursday. Also, please remind your student that their major project is due this Friday. I have taken minor grades on it. There are 7 parts and you will see it in the gradebook as "TDP Part __" They should have already completed parts 1-4 by now. The semester exam review will be up shortly. I just need to continue revising it. PLEASE CLICK ON MY RESOURCE TAB ABOVE FOR ACCESS TO DREAMBOX. Students and Parents, we now have Dreambox. We will be using this once a week in class. Please read the letter below. Students' usernames are their first and last initial plus their ID number. Their password is their ID number. For example: username: lm123456 password: 123456
This week we continue with using proportionality to find the missing lengths in similar figures. We have also been working on using scale factor and determining the scale factor. We will have a test this Thursday. I am attaching the study guide. I am also attaching the practice cards for today. Some students got to them, others did not. They have the practice sheets in their math binders. Here is our calendar for the 3rd six weeks. We will also have a project that we will work on in class every Friday. This week we begin using proportions as a way of finding the unit rate by using rates. Here is a video from Virtual Nerd that you can watch at home:

Encourage your student to come to tutorials. I am usually here by 7:30am on most days. Happy Monday!
This week we will continue with Probability. Today we will discuss independent and dependent events in class. Our test is scheduled for Thursday. Students have had homework every night except last Friday. Please refer to Mr. Zarate's blog for tutorials videos and also use the textbook login listed under "Resources" tab for additional help. http://www.virtualnerd.com/algebra-1/probability-data-analysis/dependent-independent-events-example |
